Regional council developing plan to revitalize Connetquot River area

The Long Island Regional Planning Council has issued a request for proposals to develop a plan aimed at revitalizing the Connetquot River watershed.

Issued in coordination with Suffolk County, the RFP seeks ideas to improve water quality throughout the 18-mile Connetquot River watershed ecosystem and enhance the recreational opportunities the river provides to residents and tourists, according to an LIRPC statement.
